We are thrilled to announce our conference theme this year as “A Call to Action.” This theme will focus on how organizations and delegates entering the energy industry intend to mitigate the impacts of climate change as well as create a more sustainable future. We are asking delegates, speakers, and organizations alike to think about how they are being “called to action” to modify current designs through innovation and up-and-coming technology.

Queen’s Water Environment Conference, presented by WEAO – 2019

Queen’s Water Environment Conference, presented by WEAO, will be held at the Donald Gordon Conference Centre, located minutes from campus, on February 2nd, 2019. The event will feature speakers from the United Nations, academia and industry. Delegates will have the opportunity to participate in a networking session the evening of the 2nd at the Sanctuary, where drinks and food will be provided.

Alumni Networking Summit 2019

The Alumni Networking Summit is an opportunity to establish valuable connections between students and alumni. Our goal is to provide students with mentorship and career opportunities by introducing them to our alumni. Mentorship and professional relationships play a large role in the success of young professionals. The Alumni Networking Summit provides students with the skills to succeed in professional environments. Alumni can help to guide students through their careers by providing mentorship, career opportunities, and helping to establish professional connections.

We offer two types of student tickets to Summit.

  • The “Student Ticket – 5:30 Return” does NOT include access to the post Summit social.
  • The “Student Ticket –  9:30 Return” return ticket does include access to the social. – SOLD OUT

Queen’s Water Environment Conference (QWEC)

With passionate speakers, an informative case competition, and exciting networking opportunities, delegates will learn more about the water environment in a local and global context and career options in water-related industries. The keynote speaker is the award-winning documentary team, The Water Brothers, who host a documentary series on pressing water issues. Networking will be facilitated during a panel discussion and throughout the day of the conference with industry and academic professionals. Additionally, delegates receive 2 meals, snacks, drink tickets, and a complementary bag of water goodies!
