Faculty of Engineering & Applied Science
The “Current Students” section of the Faculty of Engineering & Applied Science website provides faculty-specific information and resources related to the undergraduate calendar, the Queen’s Undergraduate Internship Program (QUIP), first year studies, learning resources, dual degrees, exchange programs, research and graduate studies, the registration guide, the academic guide, and the graduation guide.
The “Academic Support” section of the Queen’s University website provides university-specific information and resources related to teaching assistants, the Learning Commons, disability services, academic counselling and tutoring, the Centre for Teaching and Learning, and the Emerging Technology Centre.
Bounce Back is an academic support program for first-year undergraduate students in the Faculty of Engineering, Nursing or Commerce who acquire a GPA of less than 1.6 in their first term.
Students who opt-in to the program will be matched with a trained upper-year peer mentor (called a Bounce Back Facilitator). Facilitators will work individually with each participant to help them identify the source(s) of their academic hardship and to set new goals and identify strategies to achieve those goals over the course of the winter term. The program runs for nine weeks (January – March).
Alma Mater Society
The “Academic Services” section of the Alma Mater Society website provides society-specific information and resources related to the Academic Affairs Commission (AAC), the Academic Grievance Centre, and links to other resources.
