The Queen’s University Concrete Canoe Team is an entirely student-run design team whose undertaking is the design, development, and creation of a canoe made entirely of concrete. The team competes annually in the Canadian National Concrete Canoe Competition with universities and colleges nation-wide. Our key objective is to provide a unique learning environment for students of all years while promoting a creative, innovative, and fun activity that encourages leadership, teamwork, communication, project management, and problem solving skills. Technical skills learnt on the team include concrete mixing design and analysis, as well as mechanical analysis.
