First Robotics Competition
The Queen’s FIRST Robotics Club, mentors a group of KCVI high school students as they partake in the FIRST Robotics Competition. We operate a full year program to help high school students get excited and learn about science and technology. A highlight of our program is the six-week “build season” where students apply their knowledge to plan, design and build a robot for an international competition. We compete in usually two competitions a year and, championships if we qualify. It gives us as mentors a chance to apply the knowledge we are learning in our courses to a real life experience as well as pass on our knowledge to kids who are eager to learn.
