1.           Work at the Imaginus Poster Sale

 

Interested in making some easy money at the Imaginus Poster Sale? Here are the positions available:

 

Setup (heavy work)                        Nov 30.                                 4 students           7-10AM                                $12/hr

Daily Advertising                              Nov 30/Dec 1                     2 students           11AM-1PM                         $10/hr

Nightly Security                                Nov 30.                                 2 students           5:45PM-7AM                     $10/hr

Breakdown (heavy work)             Dec 1.                                    4 students           5PM-7:30PM                      $12/hr

 

If you or any of your friends are interested in any of the positions, there is a signup sheet on the huge pin board just inside the front doors of the ASUS Core. For those of you who don't know what that is, it is the house that ASUS has on university just north of the JDUC, across from the Journal house. 2.           2009 Christmas Carol Service

 

Join the Queen’s community in an evening of holiday favourites to start the Christmas season.  The 64th Annual Christmas Carol Service is happening November 29th at 7:30 pm in Grant Hall.

 

Donations to the food bank greatly appreciated.

4.           Oil & Gas Speaker Series

 

Date of Event:  January 29th, 30th, and 31st, 2010                   Location:  Here at Queen’s

 

Summary of Events:

Friday night wine and cheese kickoff at Agnes Etherington Art Centre

Saturday – Presentations with Breakfast, Lunch and Sit Down Dinner

Saturday Night – take the speakers out!

Sunday – Presentations (AM only), with Breakfast included

Early Bird Special $35 until Nov 30th, $50 after.  Cost includes food Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

 

How to Register :  Come to the Chemical Engineering Main Office  (Dupuis Hall, Room 201) with a registration form – limited space!

Are struggling with classes and nervous about final exams? EngLinks will help you find a TUTOR!

 

EngLinks is a service run through the Queen’s Engineering Society which matches tutors with students looking for academic help, exclusively for engineering students. 6.           Mont St. Anne Ski Trip

 

Not going on the Tremblant campus vacations ski trip this year, but looking for something equally as fun and awesome? This year mech is running a ski trip to Mont. St. Anne near Quebec City open to anyone interested! Housemates and friends in other disciplines or programs are all welcome! Take a look at this website for all the information you need to know:

9.           Black, White & RED Affair

 

You are cordially invited to the 3rd Annual Black, White & RED Affair...

 

This is an annual semi-formal event that raises awareness and money for sustainable, local and international HIV/AIDS initiatives.

 

This year's proceeds will be donated to the MASAI Centre which helps to support those affected by HIV/AIDS in regions of Lesotho, and the Kingston HIV/AIDS Regional Services (HARS) which provide comprehensive education and support programming to local Kingston residents who are also affected by HIV/AIDS.

There are two undergraduate thesis students who require people to participate in surveys.  More information can be found below:
