Queen’s Environmental Development Committee is now accepting application for next year’s executive. The EDC’s main objective is to design and implement environmentally sustainable processes on campus. Positions being hired for are: Committee Chair; Director of Design; Director of Research; Director of Communications; Director of Finances; Director of Marketing; and Director of Events.

Applications for the Chair position are due by 5:30 pm, Thursday, March 18th. All other director applications are due by 5:30 pm, Thursday,
March 25th. Pick up & drop off applications in the Engsoc Lounge, in the
ILC.

Interested in running a small business, working with many custom clothing and merchandise suppliers, organizing and executing Applied Science Jacket Fitting, Purchasing, and Pickup, and much more? Then the CEO head manager is the position for you!

The application for CEO Head Manager deadline has been extended to Wednesday, March 10th by 5:30 pm.  The CEO Head Manager Application Package can be found here or in the Tom Harris student lounge across from the Tea Room in the ILC.

Have a passion for coffee and the environment? Well the Engineering Society is hiring staff for Clark Hall Pub, the Integrated Constables (iCons) and the Tea Room! Want to find out what the Engineering Society is doing for you? Come out to EngSoc council! This week we will be moved out of our regular location and instead will be found in Dunning 11. Come out at 5:45pm to see the magic unfold. Additionally this week is potluck council, so bring some food and gain access to a plentiful bounty in return.

Every year the Engineering Society honours those that have done above and beyond work in out of school activities. This ranges from involvement in our student government, to involvement in various groups, athletics and more. There are even awards for Professors, Teaching Assistants and general staff.

Awards are given out at the yearly awards banquet which normally occurs during the last month of winter term. This year the banquet is on March 27th, 2010.

EngSoc is Hiring Chairs!

Have you ever wanted to get involved in the engineering extra-curricular activities? QEC, CIRQUE and CEEC are all looking for leaders and offer very different focuses, but they all have two things in common:

1- You will get great experience working with and managing teams, which is valuable when you are applying for grad school and jobs!
2- They’re tons of fun! Each position will require an intense commitment, but working with your team and accomplishing your goals together is incredibly enjoyable.
