Participate in the Engineering Society Summer Retreat

The Engineering Society Summer Retreat will take place this year on the weekend of July 16-18.  The Summer Office will be hosting a weekend of updates, round table discussions, social events, and more.  Come out to talk about what you want to see in your society, then take a break to enjoy beating the AMS in various “fun in the sun” activities.  For timetable of the day click here, or email Victoria Pleavin at prez@engsoc.queensu.ca.

Still need a summer job? Apply to be a Junior Instructor for Science Quest!

Science Quest is a non-profit organization run entirely by students at Queen’s University.  This summer, we will be running 9 weeks of camp, from June 28th to August 27th.  This is also the term of the position.  We offer a variety of different camp programs, for children entering grades 4-8 in the fall. The Engineering Society Summer Office 2010 Presents:

The Summer Office will be hosting the barbecue on the Clark Hall Patio from Noon until 2:00 PM every Friday. Come out for a delicious and inexpensive lunch and get together with everyo...ne else working around campus this summer.

ESSCO AGM - Delegate applications!

The Engineering Student Societies' Council of Ontario is hosting their Annual General Meeting this summer in Ottawa from June 24-27. The conference is an excellent opportunity to get involved and meet students from other Ontario universities. It's also lots of fun!

AMS Assembly Agenda, April 8th

Attached is the AMS agenda for Assembly on April 8th. There are some big issues, so please read and feel free to come out and voice your opinion. AMS is in the McLaughlin Room in the JDUC and starts at 7:00 PM.

Plant & Proctor Applications Available

Plant & Proctor applications are now available for Frosh Week 2010.  If you're an upper year who wants a chance to get back involved with Frosh Week, this is for you.

Help encourage fellow frosh to participate as a plant, and then reveal yourselves in comedic fashion during Standards Exam.  As a proctor, help make that happen while keeping things serious and mechanical-pencil free.

Special General Meeting of the Engineering Society

There will be a Special General Meeting of the Engineering Society this Thursday April 1st at 5:45pm. Everyone has a vote!

 

Furthermore as a student you will have the opportunity to be on the Engineering Society Board of Directors. Two year and one year positions are available. You simply need to be nominated!

 

The Board of Directors oversees the Engineering Society's services and provides longterm planning and financial overview.
