Leading up to Formula SAE Michigan 2014, we were graciously hosted by the Oakland University Formula SAE Team, Grizzlies Racing, in Rochester, MI. It was a fantastic opportunity to test and collaborate with both OU as well as two other hosted schools, before heading to our first competition of the season at the Michigan International Speedway. In these courses, students select a part of the car that they would like to perform extensive research on, write and present a report on their findings and what improvements can be made, and are then given the option to bring their findings to life by manufacturing their designed parts.

Rear Wing CFD

Two-element front- and rear-wings were reintroduced on the Q13, after a one-year absence from our team's car. We saw great success with those wings last year - producing a product that had a higher quality and decreased weight relative to the wings from our 2011 season. This year, we will be doubling the number of wing elements on both the front and rear of the Q14.
