Want to get involved with Frosh Week?
Plants are upper years who pretend to be in first year for the first day of frosh week. This allows for the first years to see that upper years can be their friends too! This is open to any student.
Proctor’s are students who pretend to supervise the Standards exam but end up doing crazy things and revealing that the plants are upper year students. This is open to current second year and above students.
Both applications are due Wednesday, April 14th, 2010 by 5:30pm in the EngSoc Mailbox in the Tom Harris Student Lounge (across from the Tearoom). If you have any questions feel free to contact the Orientation Chair, Claire Wunker, at oc@engsoc.queensu.ca.

]]>The Latin Motto will be voted on prior to the Sci ‘13 year executive elections on Wednesday March 10th at 6:30pm. Come out with ideas for a motto. Don’t worry about translating it into Latin yet. Your new year executive can take care of that part. Just come out with some cool ideas for the words that your year will live by. If you want some ideas check out the list of past mottos here.

Being a QPID Director is a great learning experience and provides individuals with the opportunity to be involved in running an entirely student-run volunteer driven non-governmental organization during their undergraduate experience.
