Engineering Review Board is Hiring!

The Engineering Review Board was created to analyze the policies and state of the affairs of the Engineering Society and to make recommendations regarding improvements therein. The Board also acts as the primary Engineering Society dispute resolution body. If you have any questions about the application process or the position in general, feel free to contact Cassie Frengopoulos (Out-going Chair) at erb@engsoc.queensu.ca.  The application is available on the here and due on Thursday, March 18th at 5:30 pm.

Hiring QUESSI Board of Directors

The Queen’s University Engineering Society Services Inc. (operating as The Campus Bookstore) is looking for students who are interested in serving on the 2010-2011 Board of Directors.  Interested individuals can pick up an application form in the Engineering Society Lounge in the ILC, or download them here. Hiring Chief Marketing Officer

The EngSoc Chief Marketing Officer is head of the EngSoc Marketing Office. The CMO will be in charge of the Office’s efforts to better market the Society and its Services, as well as the external contact for all clients of the marketing office. The CMO will be in charge of delegating tasks to the various marketing officers, ensuring deadlines are met, and any client billing.  The CMO will report directly to the Vice-President (Society Affairs).

Applications for the CMO position are available online and in the EngSoc Lounge, and due by 5:30 PM on Thursday, March 18th.  Submit applications to the mailbox in the EngSoc Lounge, directly across from the Tearoom in the ILC.

Board of Directors Hiring / Elections

Members of the ENGSOC Board of Directors (BoD) are elected each year at an Annual General Meeting (AGM). Interested applicants have the opportunity to apply for a nomination from the incoming ENGSOC President. If you are at all interested in the governance of the services and the society you should consider applying for this nomination. Applications are available here (Application Form) and are due on Thursday March 17th at 5:30pm. Alternately, any member of the society can nominate themselves for election at the AGM by showing up in person. Stay tuned for more information regarding the date, time and location of this AGM. Being a QPID Director is a great learning experience and provides individuals with the opportunity to be involved in running an entirely student-run volunteer driven non-governmental organization during their undergraduate experience.

EDC is Hiring!

Queen’s Environmental Development Committee is now accepting application for next year’s executive. The EDC’s main objective is to design and implement environmentally sustainable processes on campus. Positions being hired for are: Committee Chair; Director of Design; Director of Research; Director of Communications; Director of Finances; Director of Marketing; and Director of Events.

Applications for the Chair position are due by 5:30 pm, Thursday, March 18th. All other director applications are due by 5:30 pm, Thursday,

QECA Co-Chair Applications!

The Queen’s Energy and Commodities Association (QECA) is a ComSoc (Commerce Society)
and EngSoc ratified club, started in March 2008. Our aim is to increase students’
awareness of the opportunities available to them in the Energy and Commodity
sectors, and to encourage interaction between the faculties of Commerce and
Engineering. We aim to achieve our goals through multi-faculty speaking events such
as the Oil and Gas Speaker Series, held annually every January.

If you have any interest in some of the key industries in Canada, such as Oil and
Gas, Mining or agriculture, look no further than QECA! Also, QECA is chance to be a
part of a new, multidisciplinary and entrepreneurial committee that’s looking to
make its mark in 2010. We are currently hiring our 2010-2011 Co-Chairs, please email
