Students for Engineering Education Development

Think of SEED as a student-run consulting firm for engineering education issues. SEED was started up in the fall of 2004 by two passionate engineering students, as an initiative of the Engineering Society, and is made up of an executive of 8 people.

The vision for SEED is to question the quality of our education and inspire the realization that improvement can occur. Change will happen through students taking ownership of their education and through opening communication lines between students and instructors. Through seeking to be a positive and constructive means for change to occur; changes that will have a large impact both on how education is presently approached and on how it will develop in the future can be realized.

This year’s SEED Chair is Thai Phi, and can be contacted at seed@engsoc.queensu.ca
